Feb 21 Flagler Museum, Palm Beach, Fl

Palm Beach is awesome!! Everything is very pretty and well groomed. Obviously there is plenty of money here since every other car is a Bentley or a Ferrari.

The time period in which Flagler lived in Florida was considered the "Gilded Age". Whitehall was the winter home of Henry Flagler. Flagler was a founding partner of Standard Oil, the most profitable corporation in history. Also known as the most important developers in Florida. Flagler built the railroad referred as the "East Coast Railway" that ran from Jacksonville to Key West as well as developed luxury hotels an agriculture as the foundation for Florida's economy.

Whitehall is a 55 room mansion that Flagler presented to his wife as a wedding present. The mansion was completed in only 18 months.

The Flagler's only wintered in Florida for 5-6 weeks
each year.

Feb 20 Ft Lauderdale, Fl

We drove from Venus, Fl. to Ft Lauderdale, Fl. The drive down Hwy 27 was nice with plenty of fields of Sugar Cane. Seems that Sugar Cane is a major crop in this area.

Got to our RV site and then took off sight seeing. We drove down US1 South to South Beach.

I'm going to include some pictures from today and more to come I'm sure.

Feb 7 Venus, Fl

Hello,

Our time near Tampa has drawn to a close for now. We moved south by about 133 miles to a location called Venus. We're out in the middle of no where, seriously. I think orange groves maybe and some cattle.

This morning 2/8 we got up and washed the car and cleaned some on the motor home to ensure all stay clean. We ad to drive a bit in some showers yesterday but it wasn't too bad.

Today it is a beautiful 84 degrees so I know the pool is calling my name.

Bill and I have gotten pretty tan..... you might be asking what country are these guys from HA HA.

But seriously we have gotten rid of many tan lines and are a nice brown color.

I will attach some pics when I get them to show you what we see from our new location in Venus.
