at 5:45, not too bad huh? We may have even spent the entire day within 5-6
miles of the campground where we are staying.
Our day started out at the Burnaby Village Museum where we found history about
the town going back to the early 1900's. We were able to climb aboard a restored
electric street car made by the St. Louis Street Car Company. We were told it took
about 5 years and 1/2 million dollars to restore. It was a fine example of an early
street car and even had the original weave rattan that was featured on the car.
By the afternoon we had moved onto the local mega mall, Metropolitan. It is the
largest mall in BC. It was 3 floors and very similar to The Galleria in Houston and
covers 3 full blocks.
It was a cheap day for us because we did not find anything we could not live without.
BTW, I am going to add a special poster that I saw and the 1st person that came to mind
was Damon, knowing he will like it!
