We did make it to Disney and we bought a 3 day pass allowing us to explore 3 different parks. I now understand why at least 2/3 of the vehicles on the road are mini vans!! I figure to be fair that every familiy consisted of 2.5 children and then there were those that greatly exceeded that by 5, yes 8 kids can you imagine??
Just going to Disney was enough to break a bank, but it was a lot of fun, at lest for me. Terry did not ride any of the fast and fun rides with me, but I certainty did take the time to enjoy them. Out of the 3 parks we visited, Magic Kingdom was the most enjoyable for the two of us. It was the largest park, had more attractions and rides and just felt more like the Disney I think of. It also had plenty more people to go along with the larger park size, too many, really. Although I really liked Magic, hands down, the best ride was the Rocking Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios which also featured Aerosmith music throughout the building and then thumping in the coaster car during the ride too, it was awesome. The most hopped ride was also at Hollywood, it was The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror...the name kind of says it all. It featured a 13 story drop from the hotel tower. It lifted me completely off my seat and I had to grip the seat belt to stay in my seat. Unlike other rides, it only had a lap belt and no shoulder belt, so the experience left you in the air so to speak. I was a bit dizzier than usual for a good 20 minutes after that drop. After 3 days we were all Disneyed out, not to mention walking...we put in 13 miles the first day and over the 3 days we walked over 30 miles total. That is like walking from our old house in Las Colinas to Dallas for a night out on the town and then walking back home. Well we got our exercise for those days covered.
