March 27 Kennedy Space Center

Well of course Kennedy Space center is a big attraction here in the Cape Canaveral area. We went one to the Kennedy Space center and thought it would be a couple hours of sight seeing, but soon learned that actually there is a lot to see and after doing the bus tours that take you to a launch pad there is hardly the time to take in other areas that be a big miss.

If you have never been to the space center it is worth your while for sure!

We purchased a day pass that we turned into an annual pass and then still signed up for a guided tour that took us over areas that we hadn't seen the 1st day with stops at the Vehicle Assembly Building where the shuttle is put together before launch and then taken to the launch pad. We also went out to the launch pad that the last shuttle was launched from.

Pretty nice experience.
