We pulled into the park yesterday and were greated by 3 deer grazing out beside the road at 2:00 PM in the afternoon. This is the second time we have visited this park and we love it. It is located about 70 miles South East of Ft Smith, AR. This is a small park that only has about 14 camping sites. After having been in rain for the last 3 days, we had a cloudy, overcast and dreary afternoon here as well. It then proceeded to rain very heavily all evening and night. We were thankful were on a hill to avoid flooding because the rain was so heavy. We are on the highest point in AR and the views are wonderful here.

Sept 15 Van Buren Ar
We traveled from Oklahoma City toVan Buren after having the leak in our ice maker fixed. Home maintenance on the road, UGH!
Van Buren has a very cool historic downtown as well as a all new area of town with all the city conveniences.
We will stay here until Sunday when we travel to Mount Magazine a very cool State park where we plan to stay a couple days before maybe moving to Petit Jean State park.
As soon as we have some cool pics we'll post them, however it might be a couple days since it is raining today and cool. I think the hot weather is now all gone for a while with this last cold front that moved thru

Sept 7 Oklahoma City
Well we've made it finally across the Texas state line. We are taking in some sites in Oklahoma City. This of course included a trip to the city Zoo and other land marks such as the Oklahoma City National
Memorial Alfred Murrah Memorial
We will stay here about 6 days to take in some apple classes to learn more about these new apple products
Now what about traveling like this?? Tow your normal towing vehicle, ok so it is a 1962 Jaguar since you have to have a car to drive right?

Sept 2 - Juniper Point (a corp park)
We managed to travel a few miles up the road still in Texas.
The corp park had several cancellations that allowed us to get some pretty awesome sites along the lakeside. As it turns out the lake is 6 or so feet low actually giving us a beach front site.
1st day was pretty awesome, 2nd day it was so windy, 3rd day was again awesome. It was like a change of seasons from the horrid heat to a nice cool 80's.
I'm going to insert a few pictures for you to enjoy.
Cheri and Pat came to celebrate Labor day with us.
From our camp site we could see the lake and bridge. At night when a truck would cross the bridge the echo sounded like a train on a track
Back of our camp. As you can see a windy day!
and never far from a good meal! Catfish seems to be the most common meal, can you imagine that??

Aug 29th 2011 Thousand Trails
We moved a whole 64 miles from Hickory Creek to Lake Texoma. WOW, long day HA HA.
Had some time to do some swimming, in fact yesterday we were at the pool from 12-6:30. We are not too blistered. Met some awesome people and enjoyed our visits.
Relocated in the park today to take advantage of 50 amp service which makes a world of a difference to us!! Not to mention now we can get some additional TV using the satilite.
Enjoy

WOW We're out of the house
It feels a little weird that we no longer have a physical address. Presently our first trip was a long one, taking us clear to Hickory Creek, YES that is in Lewisville!! We are still purging at this point and are very lucky to have picked a location that is next to a dumpster as Bill still shreds documents he no longer wants to keep.
We'll be here for a couple days before we travel to Thousand Trails on Lake Texoma to continue cleaning and stuffing stuff into place.
