June 11th Kansas City National WWI Museum

Today we went to the National WWI Museum and a Plane graveyard.

The WW1 Museum shed a whole new light on the reason or better the cause of WWI(1914-1919). Incredibly there were more than 9 Million people killed during WWI.

The Tower built in 1926 is flanked by two Sphinxes which are shielding their eyes, The one facing the east is shielding its eyes with wings from the horrors of the European battlefields and the others facing west shielding its eyes with its wings to symbolize the future which is yet unseen.

We also had seen a plane salvage yard and wanted to explore it a bit, however they didn't allow people onsite without guidance and back ground check.
