June 27 Bartlesville

We took a behind the scenes tour of the Frank and Jane Phillips 26 room mansion. Unfortunately we were unable to take pictures inside the home but got some really nice ones of the outside.
If ever in Bartlesville it is worth the $10 to see. Many of the furnishings belonged to the Phillips and has been placed back where the Phillips had them when they occupied the house.

After the tour we managed to see the Bartlesville Community center. The design is from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and is an interesting architecture structure to take in.

Additionally we were fortunate to take in some sights about town that included interesting architecture design of Bruce Goff in a local neighborhood as well as a home in Dewy, Ok.
The home in Dewy is privately owned the owner who we met at the Price Tower, she was the docent that gave the tour and history of the Price Tower. She was gracious enough to share share
Bruce Goff's home that was built for the Comer's.

We also ran across the Redeemer Lutheran Church that Bruce Goff designed. It is typical of some designs and how he used glass.

This gold medallion was located on the 17th floor at the Copper Bar, each floor had one between the elevators, however one of the 3 elevators was blocked and used today as some of the mechanics.
