March 13 A day touring Key West, Fl

Today we got up earlier than normal and took off on our bikes with a mission to chris cross the island of Key West looking for a couple things we had seen or heard about during our guided tour of the island.

We managed to also survive one week of "spring  breakers" and it appears another group has begun to arrive.

Part of our journey today took us down the Atlantic ocean side of the island.... OMG what an error..... 2 reasons, one was the kids on spring break and second was the wind blowing 20 miles an hour at least....

Beach, water, skin and more skin was the site at the beach......

Saw two Carnival ships at the docks, one left while we were riding our bikes around and by the time we got to the Atlantic side the ship could be seen headed south. The second ship left before 4 pm and the streets kind of clears out after the "tourist" get back on their ships. But with that being said, there are way still too many people in the "2 mile  by 4 mile area than should be normal I promise.

We also went to the roof top of one of the hotels to watch the sun set over the ocean too.

I will attach our pictures here, hope you enjoy:

This was of a junction of Hwy 1 on the edge of the Navy base along an abandoned Hwy 1 where a homeless man built a "rock home" it is really pretty big and quite surprising the size of the rock that was moved to make it. The pictures don't do it any justice at all
Bill's new look HA HA, this will teach his to edit these......
This guy was at the Navel Air base on the runway.... HE was huge......
This creature can look as scary as a Gator... but a woman in the park says she feeds this guy cause he as been angling around her TENT, yes I said TENT. Can you imagine..... and they are right beside a little water way that leads out to another larger water way, but there are mangrove in between

 WOW isn't this pretty

 Willis?? O Willis

One of many sailing vessels that offer cruises of the bay

This was a historic building that was the Custom House for the Port
Art work behind the Custom House
Huge Carnival ship that we learned originated in Galveston and is headed to the Bahama's
I think this was somewhere a fall back plan :)

Mile marker "0" at the furthest southern point on Hwy 1
